It’s the little things

How many times a day do you just look up or around?  Have you taken a moment to look and really visualize all the beauty that surrounds you. With so much negativity in the news…..

I challenge you to find the positive. The good. Taking time to just stop. Reflect. Grow in thanksgiving.

No fairy tale here. We will all have trials, disappointments and bills to pay.  Life no doubt will bring you these things but how you respond to them will be the difference.

Opportunity is knocking and it’s bringing YOUR chance to reflect on how you will respond and then YOUR action of responding. Allowing yourself to see the good will bring your heart and health to a much happier state.

What was your first thought as you woke up today?

  • Was it dread for the work day or were you already thinking gosh thank you for another day!
  • Did I wake up to chaos or is it really that bad in the bigger scheme of things?

Maybe you had the glass is half full kind of thought.

  • I’m breathing and I can move.
  • I can take on the challenge of the day (yes, insert that cup of coffee or two moment here).
  • I can be the difference

Whatever the case it begins with YOUR decision.

Look around and find the beauty. The blooming flowers. The fresh air. The singing birds. The opportunities.

You may be thinking what singing birds? What flower? Where’s MY moment? I’ve been there. More than once!  To distracted with the busyness of balancing work, life, kids, bills, car trouble…. that list goes on and on.

It’s way to easy to miss such lovely things that’s why I present you the challenge of taking time to find the beauty around you.

We are never promised tomorrow so today I choose to live by Tim McGraw’s lyrics “live like you were dying”.

And I’ll be watching for the beauty along the way I hope you will too.
